
DAN LANNON
Director and Head Coach
A native of Syracuse, New York, Dan Lannon played defense at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where he was captain of the varsity team and an "All County" selection. He went on to play long-stick midfield and defense at Syracuse University, where he won three NCAA D1 National Championship rings.
He has been coach at Desert Vista High School since 2008, and was named the Arizona Coach of the Year by his peers for the 2009 and 2014 seasons. Coach Dan founded AZ Hot Sauce Lacrosse in 2010, and in 2021, he became the first Director of Boys' Lacrosse for Legacy Sports USA.

Ryan Berns
Head Coach - Varsity Programs
Coach Ryan "Bernsy" Berns is an Arizona native. He played youth lacrosse with the Kyrene Warriors, high school with the Corona del Sol Aztecs, club ball with the AZ Starz, AZ Burn, and West Coast Starz, and ultimately was a defensive captain for the Arizona State University Sun Devil Lacrosse team. Coach Berns is still extremely involved with the Sun Devils lacrosse program as a board member and is the VP for the ASU Men's Lacrosse Alumni group.
Coach Berns has been coaching youth lacrosse with the Ahwatukee Lightning and Hot Sauce teams since 2018. His core values are "accountability," "integrity," and "excellence" - values that he believes he learned through lacrosse. Outside of lacrosse, you can find Coach Berns spending time with his family (fiancé, Haley; mom Sara; dad, Jim; and sister Holly), hiking, or playing sports (men's league lacrosse, golf, tennis, pickleball). Ryan is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ at Merrill Lynch.

KYLE MOX
Head Coach - Junior Varsity
Born and raised in Michigan, Coach Mox was a founding member of the Lansing Waverly lacrosse club, where he was captain of the varsity team and selected 1st Team All-State as a midfielder, before going on to play for the Western Michigan University men's lacrosse club.
Coach Mox is a USA Lacrosse Level 2-certified coach and has been coaching lacrosse in Arizona for over six years, most recently at Desert Vista High School. He has served as president of the Ahwatukee Lightning lacrosse club, and is the current president of Youth Lacrosse of Arizona. A life-long educator, he is an Associate Dean at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University. As a coach, he prioritizes holistic development in his players and promotes emotional, ethical, and physical intelligence alongside "lax IQ."
